I chose Glogster as my presentation tool. I chose this because as a review project with 6th and 7th graders we have them start out with an "All about me" project. The project is a review of all concepts reviewed at the beginning of the course and let's the students create a representation of themselves all in the language. When I saw that Glogster was a poster creator I had to try it out!
It was pretty easy to use and I could see students using this tool and presenting in class. I will say that I need to check the age limit in the user agreement section but overall I really liked this tool!

Teri,
ReplyDeleteI love your Glogster poster. It would be a great presentation tool for "All About Me!" The video clip and music makes it very entertaining, too. Nice work!
I do have to say, Nella looks very well behaved here! ;) I do like this for being able to show the students what examples of their presentations might look like. It would have been great to have this when I was teaching German...alas...! :}
ReplyDeleteI am checking out everyone's blog to get ideas. I love your Glogster poster. I think I will try it.
ReplyDeleteGood to know. The level 2 teachers are trying something new for the common speaking assessment as these incoming freshman have done the hot seat three times already. We were thinking of a memorized speech each semester/quarter, but it sounds like you do this in 7th and 8th grades too. Tell me more when we get together this summer.
ReplyDeleteTeri, I like that glogster poster is easy to view, understand, and explore. It is much more simple than using Prezi, which is kind of like a maze that pulls you from one point to the next.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they can be used in the classroom? Could they all be saved to a certain page to be displayed? Adding the video component makes it much more interesting than a normal poster board.
